What does it mean to have "full coverage?"

"Full coverage" is used by some to describe a vehicle that has comprehensive and collision coverages in addition to various, state-required coverages like liability, medical payments or uninsured/underinsured motorist. This means that you have coverage that would help pay to repair your own car if you have an accident. This does not include every coverage like towing or rental (which can also be added). It also doesn't include protection for mechanical breakdown or routine maintenance.
