In order to earn your rewards and avoid paying your monthly max rate, you’ll need to use our HiRoad app. Because we use the smarts already in your smartphone, some devices are not compatible so it’s a good idea to check ahead of time.
Here are a list of known compatible and incompatible devices:
Apple iPhone:
Our app will work with these iPhone devices or above on iOS 16 or later:
- iPhone 11 through 15 series
- iPhone 8 series
- iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)
- iPhone X, XS and XR series
Android:
Our app will work with a phone you have running Android 7 or higher and it must support the following:
- An accelerometer
- A Gyroscope
- GPS support
- Support for sensors to run in the background or when the screen is not on.
Phones we know are not compatible:
- Samsung Galaxy Note II
- HTC One M8
- Huwei Ascend
- BLU Life One XL
- Droid Maxx 2
